Wow, I can’t apologize enough for the span of time it has taken me to post another update. I am feeling much better now and am dealing with the necessary side effects of medication (blah). However, I would much rather deal with side effects from meds than side effects from a growing ulcer. Thank you to all of you who prayed me through this. Luckily, it only minimally got in the way of my performance here in the home. For this I am thankful! I am growing to love being around the kids more and more. Everyday, while I do necessary tasks at home, I am secretly anticipating their return from school. I felt so loved yesterday as Bibi greeted me with a huge smile on her face and presented the most perfect looking flower I have ever seen. That was so sweet of her. I put it in a little dish and set it in the livingroom so that all of us “girly girls” could enjoy it’s short lived life. Sometimes it is just the little things that make your heart melt.
Another thing that I am throughly enjoying here is reading the boys a bedtime story (since they can understand English). Lately they have been into their “Frog and Toad” books by Arnold Lobel. It is a series where the pessimistic Toad and the upbeat Frog enjoy the company of one another as they have many adventures. I know this is silly, but I have even made different voices for the Frog and the Toad. As silly as it is they seem to enjoy it.
As for our promised video, we are still trouble shooting. It seems that the software disc that is needed in order to download video to our computer was not included in the package. We thank you for your patience with us as we are working this out. In the meantime, I will take another video for you and post it in the former way. Never fear, it will get up on this blog (this is what I keep telling myself). This is a prayer request as well. Isaac has put a lot of time into locating the right cord for it, only to be disappointed when he plugged it in and nothing happened.
This is what drove him to make a quick phone call to our amazing tech support (Joe) to solve the problem. It was interesting to call the church from Nepal. I think we thoroughly surprised Jeanne in the office. It was such a blessing to us as well because Pastor Troy happened to be there when we called. Thanks guys for chatting for a while, it was really uplifting. We love you guys and thank you so much for your continued support and prayers for this home. We really DO need you!
Eva
P.S. I will work on the substitute video this very night
